Celebrating independent shopping in Bath – antiques, design, vintage March 2016 #BathFairsShops 

We are delighted to be collaborating with the Bath Decorative Fair and Antiques News & Fairs to highlight the wonderful independent and fashionable lifestyle shopping in the famous Georgian City of Bath.

Working with a group of independent shops favoured by the cool cognoscenti of Bath to celebrate the seriously fun shopping opportunities for homemakers of every age who want to embrace green and ethical shopping but who are also keen to remain ahead of the pack on the style front with unique and affordable pieces which can become family heirlooms with investment potential.

The event will focus on 2 weeks in March 2016 kicking off with the Bath VA Market on Sunday 6th March with a Brocante turning Green Park Station into a French style market for the day. The two week event will be finishing with the acclaimed Bath Decorative Antiques Fair 10-12 March.

During the 2 weeks between Bath Decorative Antiques Fair and the Bath Vintage and Antiques Market, and our sponsors have organised  various exciting events – candlelit suppers with guest speakers, styling workshops with professional stylists to help you work with both antiques and contemporary pieces and other events around the city to entice you to get social and network to support our local independent businesses.

Event: OWL IN THE IVY OUTLINE PROGRAMME DURING BATH DECORATIVE FORTNIGHT
Workshop – Styling with Nature
Date & Time: Tuesday 10th March 10am – 2pm
Costs: £50 per head = expert led workshop + lunch and tea and coffee Places: 8 per session
Emma and Alice will host two workshop sessions with the probable addition of an expert (person TBC) in the field of the focus area. The sessions will offer hands-on inspiration on how to use plants, greenery and flowers in the home – especially a home featuring decorative antiques, vintage etc. Emma and Alice will be on-hand to offer additional styling tips and advice.

Event: Suppers – Taste The Style
Date & Time: Wednesday 16th March 7pm – 11pm
Costs: £50 per head = 3 course meal + 1 cocktail per guest. BYO wine (no corkage fee) Places: 8 per evening
Emma and Alice will host two suppers, ‘Taste The Style’. They will be a simple, yet decorative, affair with delicious food served and cocktails in an engaging and stylish setting. The focus will be on the simple pleasures of life; eating, drinking, good company, environment and how to dine in style. There will be ample time to talk about interiors, lifestyle, decorative antiques, treasure hunting, style and what makes everyone tick.

Date & Time: Friday 11th March from 10am to 12.30 am
Costs: £55.00 per head
The idea of the workshop is to provide a introduction to using Chalkpaint to paint and bespoke your furniture to professional standards – (a taster of our full day course which retails at £145.00) Students have a £20 discount for the event. To include all materials. Plus coffee and biscuits.
